Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-02-19
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Domaintico, operated by Licentico LTD (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, purchasing, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Company details
- Legal name: Licentico LTD
- Address: 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom
- Contact email: support@domaintico.com
2. Services
We provide domain search, registration, renewal, transfer, and domain management features. We may also offer related services such as WHOIS privacy, SSL certificates, email services, and hosting. Some services are delivered using third-party providers (including registrars, registries, and infrastructure vendors). Availability may vary by TLD and region.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.
- You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Domain registration, WHOIS, and registry/ICANN policies
Domain registrations and transfers are subject to the rules of the relevant registry, registrar, and (where applicable) ICANN consensus policies. By registering or transferring a domain through us, you agree that:
- Registration data accuracy: you will provide and maintain accurate registration contact information (sometimes referred to as WHOIS/RDAP data) as required by the registry/registrar policies.
- WHOIS/RDAP publication and disclosure: depending on the TLD and applicable rules, certain registration data may be published via WHOIS/RDAP or disclosed through lawful requests or dispute processes. Where privacy/proxy services are available and enabled, the public record may show alternative contact details, but underlying data may still be disclosed to registries, ICANN, dispute providers, and law enforcement as permitted or required.
- ICANN/registry procedures: disputes and policies such as the UDRP/URS (where applicable), transfer policies, and registry-specific rules may apply to your domain. You agree to be bound by and comply with such policies.
- Verification: we and/or our providers may request verification of contact details or identity where required by policy or to prevent fraud/abuse.
5. Renewals, expiration, and redemption
- Renewals: you are responsible for renewing domains and services before expiry. Renewal prices are shown where applicable, but may change in accordance with registry/provider price changes and applicable notice requirements.
- Expiration: if a domain expires, it may enter grace, redemption, or deletion periods according to registry rules. Restoration and late renewal may involve additional fees. We cannot guarantee recovery of an expired domain.
6. Pricing, payments, and taxes
- Prices shown at checkout apply at the time of purchase. Registry/provider fees, premium domain pricing, and renewal pricing may change.
- Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) and may require authentication depending on your bank or risk checks.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location and the service.
7. Refund Policy
Important: many domain-related fees are charged immediately by registries/registrars and can be irreversible. As a result, domain registrations, renewals, and transfers are generally non-refundable once submitted or completed, except where required by law or explicitly stated at checkout.
Refund eligibility depends on the service and whether it has been provisioned/used:
- Domain registrations/renewals/transfers: typically non-refundable once processed. If an order fails due to a technical error or is rejected and we do not deliver the service, we will generally refund the amount paid for that failed transaction or provide account credit (at our discretion and subject to provider constraints).
- Premium domains: premium domain purchases are typically final due to registry/provider rules. Premium fees may apply to registration and renewal.
- WHOIS privacy / ID Protect: if offered as an add-on, it is usually non-refundable once activated/assigned to a domain for the purchased term.
- SSL certificates: typically non-refundable once the certificate is issued or validation has been completed, unless the issuing authority’s rules allow otherwise.
- Email services (private email / forwarding): typically non-refundable once provisioned, except where the service cannot be delivered.
- Hosting (if offered): any refund eligibility (if any) will be stated at checkout or in the hosting plan details. Unless stated otherwise, hosting charges are non-refundable once the service period has started.
How to request a refund: contact support@domaintico.com and include your order reference, the affected domain/service, and the reason for the request. We may ask for additional information to investigate. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; processing times depend on the payment provider and bank.
Chargebacks: initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in account restrictions while we investigate. We may recover related costs where permitted.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the services for illegal activities or abuse, including phishing, malware, spam, DDoS, fraud, or infringement of intellectual property rights. We may suspend services to comply with law, protect users, or enforce applicable policies.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, applicable laws, or registrar/registry/ICANN policies, or if required for security, fraud prevention, or compliance. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy unless doing so would create risk or is prohibited.
10. Disclaimers
Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that a domain will be available, that registration will be accepted by a registry, or that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the affected service during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.
12. ICANN and registry policy compliance
Domain services are subject to registrar/registry rules and, where applicable, ICANN consensus policies. We will take reasonable steps to operate in accordance with applicable ICANN and registry requirements, including handling of registration data, transfers, and dispute-related procedures as required. You agree to comply with all applicable policies and to cooperate with requests necessary to meet those requirements.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You and we agree that the courts of United Kingdom shall have jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice (for example, via the website or email). Continued use of the services after the effective date of the updated Terms means you accept them.
